Stun guns, also known as electric breaking sticks by Pit Bull experts, are extremely effective against aggressive Pits and other breeds. Expert dog trainers recommend the use of stun guns to stop or prevent dog attacks. Pit Bulls strike extreme fear into the minds of millions, but the fact is any dog attack is dangerous and can cause severe bodily harm to humans and other animals.
If faced with an imminent dog attack how would you respond? Most of us have no idea until it happens. We get calls and pleads for help from persons who have been the victim of a vicious dog attack. In almost every case, we tell them to buy a stun gun or stun baton for protection. We are talking about an actual stun gun, not a Taser that shoots a projectile.
Earlier this month in Tampa, Florida a police officer responding to a domestic disturbance found himself in the path of an angry Pit Bull. The officer used his stun gun to subdue the animal. After shocking the dog, the officer had enough time to load the Pit into his cruiser and transport to a local animal shelter.
Pit Bull enthusiasts will tell you that a responsible owner always has a ‘breaking stick’ on hand in case an animal fight takes place. With the traditional ‘breaking stick’ the jaws are pried open. Many are now recommending the use of stun guns to break up fights, even referring to them as ‘electronic breaking sticks’.
A common myth is that Pits have a mechanism that allows them to lock there jaws on their prey. This is simply not true, there jaws are massively strong and the breed very stubborn. Stubborn in the fact that they often will not let go once latched on to something. Traditional breaking sticks are effective but if not careful can end up getting bit while trying to prey the jaw open. With a stun gun or baton by touching the electric rod to the skin of the animal success is often immediate.
High voltage, low amperage electricity causes extreme pain, disorientation, and loss of muscle control. The end result is typically a quick end to an aggressive dog attack and much needed safety for all involved. The best thing is that the stun gun shock won’t cause long term injury.
More and more dog shelters and humane society’s are ordering stun batons for dog control officers. Sales of pocket stun guns to meter readers, postal workers, and delivery drivers continue to increase. I recently had a conversation with a local SPCA director who stated, “…stun batons have dramatically decreased that number of annual dog bites to our control officers.”
If you are looking for a device to offer protection against dog attacks while walking, biking, or jogging a stun device may offer exactly what your looking for. One benefit of a electronic stun device that is often not discussed is that the sound made when you pull the trigger. We can see and hear the electronic “crackling” of electricity, but recent studies suggest that there is more to it. There appears to be a very high pitch sound that cannot be heard by the human ear but is painfully loud to canines. This provides another “hidden” benefit that could deter attack without having to shock the animal.
Property crimes such as burglary and theft have reached epidemic proportions in both urban and rural settings throughout the US. Reasons include the economy, drugs, gangs, and lack of education. Will it get better? Don’t bet on it, if fact the trend suggests the opposite. While your at work all day or all night your home sits idle. The chances of becoming a victim of property crime is very high.
There are things you can do right now to secure your home and thus maintain a higher level of security. Do you own a dog? In a survey of 300 prison inmates who’d been convicted of burglary or residential crimes over 95% stated an unfriendly dog would deter or scare them away. Almost all of the respondents said that a dog that barked and made lots of noise would deter them from targeting that home.
Another larger study of nearly 600 individuals convicted of property crimes posed the question of what are the most effective burglary preventer’s. The top answer was a burglar alarm, window senors was a close second, followed by security patrols and then having a dog in the house.
Concentrate on just a few things today to dramatically improve your home security situation. First, complete this home security survey This means answering honestly and addressing answers of ‘NO’ with an action plan. If you don’t already have a home security alarm, consider adding one right away. They are much more affordable then you think and a cinch to get working. If you don’t have a dog, maybe it’s time to think about adding one to the family. Do some research and choose the breed that works best for you and your family. Labs, retrievers, and shepherds are great companions. They are very smart animals, territorial by nature, easily trained and typically make great watch dogs.
One of the most important things we try to do, is to educate people about our self defense products. Today, I’d like to talk about Wildfire self defense pepper spray. Wildfire pepper spray is made and tested here in the USA. This is very important, considering pepper spray, mace and other self defense products are largely self regulated. This means that many manufacturers flat out lie about the ingredients used to make their defense spray.
Wildfire pepper spray is independently tested by Washington Labs. Larry Harris of Washington Labs stated it’s “One of the hottest sprays we tested! …..the fastest reacting spray we’ve ever tested. This spray immediately permeates the pores of the skin, closes the eyes, and inhibits the respiratory system. What makes this product so effective is the purity of the pepper used in formulating this product…only food grade grade 3 million or 4 million scoville heat units pepper used.”
Wildfire uses top quality products to produce a superior product. It’s an 18% formula that produces a real and consistent 3 million scoville heat unit rating. Wildfire is just as effective as brands like Fox Labs, SABRE, and Defense Technology, but the price tag is less.
The Wildfire family consists of eight models that range from a half ounce keychain to a one pound crowd control unit and everything in-between. Users can choose from a 1/2 oz. model that is very small at only 3 1/2″ tall x 1 1/4″ diameter it is easy to conceal and take just about everywhere. The 1 1/2 oz. model is larger at 3 3/4″ tall x 2″ diameter and offers extended range as well as a larger pepper spray canister.
The 4 ounce units are available in a ballistic stream or fogger. The stream unit has awesome range at up to 18 feet and the fog is good from 15 feet. These are perfect for home and vehicle security. These are the same size units that most law enforcement use on their duty belts.
The 9 ounce and 1 pound units are especially effective in crowd control type situations. When you need larger quantities of pepper spray or to disperse crowds these are ideal. A great example is a fight at a night club, typically the fight starts inside, bouncers break it up and kick the fighters out. The fight usually continues in the parking lot, where crowds can get very large and very violent quickly. Using a 1 pound Firemaster Fog top you can clear a large crowd quickly from a safe distance.
Below is an email from a customer sharing a very scary situation, that turned out ok because he used his MK-3 pepper spray.
“I was walking with my 11 pound dog. A truck was parked on the side of a residential street with three young adult males inside. As I passed one of three young men old got out and said he needed money to get gas. ”
“I stated that I don’t carry money with me when I’m walking. He said he was going to take my dog…with a little cigar in his mouth – he started at me as if he was going to slug me. I reached into my back pocket and aimed, then fired my MK-3 pepper spray at his face – almost immediately he went down to the ground. I didn’t get his plate number but walked to the end of the block to where they could see me and I called the police. They, one of the other two, I guess drove away fast. The Lord was with me for guiding me to order the MK-3. Thanks for your service!!” Julius Okruhlik
Could a stun gun really be an effective treatment for venomous snake and spider bites? Many doctors and researchers are stating that high voltage, low amperage stun gun shocks can have a dramatic effect on dangerous poisonous bites.
Dr. Stan Abrams and others are actively using stun gun treatment on Brown Recluse spider bites, with excellent success. Dr. Abrams actually has set up a website to share his successful techniques.
The stun gun current will influence the hydrogen bonds of the enzymes, destroying their secondary and tertiary structure.
The high voltage, low amperage current applied will reduce metal ions and zinc, copper, magnesium, iron, or calcium ions, which are firmly bound to some venom enzymes and are mandatory cofactors for these enzymes.
The electric particles interfere with the membrane as well as the positive charged polypeptides, decreasing their cytotoxic properties.
A simple Google search for terms like ’stun gun for snake bite’ will return hundreds of relevant results. Most make claims of success using stun guns to treat venomous bites, complete with testimonials.
As a father, husband and business owner time is always at at a premium. Often free time comes open late at night or very early in the morning. One of the things I enjoy doing is jogging or fast walking around the subdivision we live in. It’s good exercise, relieves stress and helps to clear my head. Just like hundreds of nights before, I set out for a jog about eleven p.m.
I do practice what I preach, so I always carry pepper spray with me when I exercise outdoors. On this night, its a good thing I did have my defense spray. About a half mile into my jog, I see two very large Doberman Pinchers in the front yard of a neighbors home. I spotted them from about 100 yards away, but did not see an owner. Against, my better judgement I continued on my path that would put me passing right in from of the Doberman’s yard. As I passed, one of the animals ran straight for me. My heat was beating rapidly, this was a big dog and he wanted to eat me for lunch.
I carry the pepper spray in my hand whenever I’m out running. As the animal lunged at me I sprayed and hit him in the face from about 6 feet away. The dog yelped, and began rolling on the ground. I could hear it crying and could see the discharge from his nose and mouth. The pepper spray took the fight right out of this animal and probably saved me a trip to the hospital.
I can’t stress the importance of carrying a self defense product like pepper spray. Just as important, is knowing how to use it, making sure its easily accessible, and knowing what to expect. The only way you can accomplish this is through practice. So, choose your self defense product, make a commitment to use if you feel your safety is threatened and finally practice, practice, practice.
Home security should be a top priority for everyone who owns or rents a home or apartment. A good proactive home security plan goes a long way toward making your house a home. Burglary and home invasion crimes are at all time highs. Criminals look for easy targets, by doing your homework you can drastically decrease the chances of having your home victimized.
One of the best ways to ensure that you’ve got your home covered is to complete a home security survey. A home security survey is an excellent tool to help you determine the areas of your home that you need to focus on. After completing the survey, pay close attention to the areas that you answered ‘no’. Home security surveys are available via most local or state law enforcement agencies. For your convenience we appended a comprehensive survey below.
Take time to complete the survey below. For each question, simply answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’. An answer of ‘no’ should be a call to action. Thanks to the Charlottesville, VA Police Department for providing such a comprehensive home security survey.
Exterior Door Safety
All doors are locked at night and every time we leave the house – even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Exterior doors are solid hardwood or metal-clad (not hollow).
Doors have peepholes installed at levels that all family members can utilize.
If you have glass panels in your doors, they should be reinforced or shatter proof.
All doors should have a sturdy deadbolt lock installed into the frame.
Do not keep spare keys under the doormat or hidden anywhere outside your home.
Garage and Sliding Doors
The door leading from the attached garage to the house is solid wood or metal-clad and protected with a quality keyed door lock and deadbolt.
The overhead garage door has a lock so that we do not rely solely on the automatic door opener to provide security.
Garage doors are all locked when leaving the house.
The sliding glass door has a strong, working key lock.
A dowel or a pin to secure a glass door has been installed to prevent the door from being shoved aside or lifted off the track.
The sliding door is locked every night and each time we leave the house.
Protecting Windows
Every window in the house has a working key lock or is securely pinned.
Windows are always locked, even when they are opened a few inches for ventilation.
Outdoor Security
Shrubs and bushes are trimmed so there is no place for someone to hide.
There are no dark areas around our house, garage, or yard at night that would hide prowlers.
Every outside door has a bright, working light to illuminate visitors.
Floodlights are used appropriately to ensure effective illumination.
Outdoor lights are on in the evening – whether someone is at home or not or a photocell or motion-sensitive lighting system has been installed.
Our house number is clearly displayed so police and other emergency vehicles can find the house quickly.
Security When Away From Home
At least two light timers have been set to turn the lights on and off in a logical sequence, when we are away from home for an extended time period.
The motion detector or other alarm system (if we have one) has been activated when we leave home.
Mail and newspaper deliveries have been stopped or arrangements for a neighbor/ friend to pick them up have been made when we go away from home for a period of time.
A neighbor has been asked to tend the yard and watch our home when we are away.
Outdoor Valuables and Personal Property
Gate latches, garage doors, and shed doors are all locked with high – security, laminated padlocks.
Gate latches, garage doors, and shed doors are locked after every use.
Grills, lawn mowers, and other valuables are stored in a locked garage or shed, or if left out in the open, are hidden from view with a tarp and securely locked to a stationary point.
Every bicycle is secured with a U-bar lock or quality padlock and chain.
Bikes are always locked, even if we leave them for just a minute.
Firearms are stored unloaded and locked in storage boxes and secured with trigger guard locks.
Valuable items, such as televisions, stereos, and computers have been inscribed with identifying number.
Our home inventory is up-to-date and includes pictures. A complete copy is kept somewhere out of the house
Summer is upon us and with it comes three months of vacation for the kids, fun in the sun and pool parties Swimming pools can be a blast for the kids, but they can also be extremely dangerous. It is imperative that parents take an active and proactive role in pool safety.
If you own a pool, you also own a huge responsibility. Consider installing a privacy fence that restricts access to the pool. Thousands of our youth die of drowning each year in the U.S. All gates should have a secure latch installed that a level that small children can’t reach.
Consider installing a pool alarm, to alert you if someone has fallen into an unsupervised pool. A pool alarm is an invaluable safety tool that could save a life.
Nearly 1000 children die each year as a result of drowning. Never allow children to be alone near a pool, spa or body of water; not even for a second! From an early age, teach your children to respect water.
You should keep emergency rescue products close by your pool in case an accident occurs. A life preserver ring and rescue pole are must have tools. You should also make sure a phone is kept close by.
Do not trust that you child is safe just because you’ve put an inflatable floating aid on him. The quality of such in inflatables is often “shabby” and they may deflate without warning. In addition, these devices do not keep a kids head above the water. There is no substitute for Coast Guard approved life vests.
Teach your child to swim at a young age. Children are typically receptive to swim lessons beginning at age 3. Choose a reputable swim coach that is well known and trusted within the community.
Check your pool or spa for uncovered drains as the suction can trap a person underwater. The Pool and Spa Safety Act is a law enacted to preventing drain entrapments. Before entering a public pool make sure it is complaint with the Pool and Spa Safety Act.
Don’t look now; it’s hurricane season again! In addition, to dangerous hurricanes and tropical storms, we are fighting to overcome the worst natural disaster in history in the Gulf oil spill. If you live anywhere near the Gulf of Mexico, I’d be willing to bet that most you know at least one person who has been negatively affected by tropical storms or hurricanes. The oil spill in the Gulf has had devastative effects on Louisiana and most experts feel it’s only a matter of time before Alabama and Florida feel the same effects.
Hurricanes, oil spills, tornadoes, floods; you may not be able to stop them from occurring, but you can have a plan just in case. During Hurricane Katrina, thousands of people were stranded for days and even weeks without the necessary supplies to survive. No one imagined, that the levees would be breached and water would fill New Orleans like a soup bowl, but it did. No food, no water, no transportation, no electricity, no police, nothing; for weeks. Can you imagine being in this type of situation? Thousands thought it would never happen to them, tragically it did and very few were prepared.
This year I urge you to put together an emergency kit, just in case. The kit needs to be assembled now, so it is ready if you need it. This safety kit should contain basics like non-perishable food, water, prescription medicine, first aid, self defense products and much more. It is simple to do, doesn’t cost a fortune and could save your life.
Go out and purchase a water tight plastic storage container from Home Depot or Walmart. Now use the following to create your list of everything you need to create the perfect emergency safety kit for yourself and family. Be conscious to buy enough to last your family a minimum of 5 days.
The first items you will want to stock up on are necessities of food and water.
Bottled water, purifying tablets. Purifying tablets are invaluable if there is no clean drinking water. The one thing your body cannot do without is water so stock up.
Non-perishable food. Purchase food that has no chance of going bad. Canned goods are a good option. You can also stop by an army surplus store and purchase Meals Ready to Eat (MRE’s).
Hand can opener
Baby food, formula
Vitamins
Snacks
Powdered or canned milk
Pet food, if needed.
Be sure to plan for health needs; this means everything from prescriptions to first aid. Many thousands of people became very ill and some even died because they could not get there medications filled for weeks after Hurricane Katrina.
Prescription refills
Bandages, gauze pads
Safety pins
Scissors
Tweezers
Adhesive tape
Antiseptic spray
Soap
Rubbing alcohol
Latex gloves
Baby diapers
Eye glasses, contacts, eyecare products
Toilet paper
Sun block
Bug repellent
Unfortunately, in times of disasters and emergencies people tend to lose there cool out of desperation and do things that could threaten or endanger others. Safety gear is a must have in any emergency situation.
If tragedy does strike, important documents like your drivers license or ID and tax returns are a must have. The first thing FEMA or the Red Cross will ask you for is identification and to verify your income. Without the necessary documents emergency aid could be delayed.
A gun safety study was recently compiled and findings released by a non-profit out of Washington. The non-profit is anti-gun and feels that stricter gun laws reduce gun related crime, including murder. The study found that Louisiana owns the nation’s highest rate of death by gunfire, according the the study no other state comes close.
In Louisiana, it is estimated that nearly half of all households own a gun. The study attempts to correlate that statistic with a gun death rate of 19.87 per 100,000 which is nearly double the national average. Mississippi, Alaska, and Nevada complete the top five in overally gun deaths.
The lowest rates were recorded in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, where the gun death rate is 5 percent or less and ownership less than 20 percent of households.
While the study does suggest a correlation between gun ownership and the rate of death from gunfire, the numbers do not correlate and there thought process is flawed. For instance, Mississippi, Alaska and Alabama all have substantially higher gun-ownership rates than Louisiana, but lower rates of death from gunfire. In addition, this study does not take address crime related deaths, drugs or poverty. New Orleans has owned th dubious distinction of the murder capital of the nation. This is in large part to drugs, gangs and poverty. The majority of the murders are black on black and committed by and against young males. Most of these are entrenched in gangs and the drug trade.
Each year at this time many of us begin to stress out a bit as we search for the perfect Father’s Day gift. What will you choose this year? Will it be a new shirt, maybe a nice tie, or maybe a barbecue grill. All are nice choices that I’m sure dad would be appreciate….but how about something new this year. If you are searching for unique, practical and a gift that screams, “I love you and care about your safety” then consider giving a personal safety kit this year.
A comprehensive safety kit has everything needed to keep dad safe. One great kit, for example, is the Automotive Vehicle Safety Kit and it includes practical items such as self defense pepper spray, an car emergency tool, a 9 LED flashlight, diversion safe and more. If you’ve ever been stranded in your car you know what a terrible feeling it can be. Our auto emergency kit offers invaluable piece of mind because you’ve got the tools needed to stay safe in an emergency situation. The 4 in 1 emergency tool is a seat belt cutter, a glass break hammer, a flashlight and emergency strobe all in one great tool. A special pepper spray tool attaches to your auto visor so it is always there if you need it.
Secure your valuables in plain sight with a nice diversion safe. It looks exactly like a can Engine De-greaser . Inside you’ll find a hollow section to secure your valuables for everyone to see! Every year, thousands of accidents are caused by drivers who fall asleep at the wheel. Our Nap-Zapper anti-sleep alarm prevents a driver from dozing off at the wheel and its included in the Automotive Safety Kit.
Perhaps the most impressive part of our comprehensive safety kits are the demonstration or training DVD. You can have the greatest products but if you don’t how to use them effectively then what good are they? With each kit we provide a one on one tutorial to teach you how to use each feature as well as the features and benefits. Finally, we’ll give you a collection of safety reports, designed to teach awareness.
So make this Father’s Day one to remember. Reward Dad with something he will treasure for years to come. Hopefully, he’ll never need to reach for his safety kit, but if he does it just may save his life. DreamHost review

Please take a moment today to bow your head and thank God for the men and women who have or are sacrificing everything for you and me. It is because of these HEROES that I am able to post this blog and you are able to read and respond to it. The United States of America is the greatest country in the world.
The Associated Press reported that a A South Korean couple was convicted Friday in the death of their infant daughter. The report states that the infant died of starvation gradually over several months while the parents spent 10 to 12 hours per day playing an online video game raising a virtual child.
Unbelievably the husband only received 2 years in prison and wife a suspended sentence because she is currently pregnant. .
It is was reported that the couple left the premature infant alone for 10 to 12 hour stretches while they pretended to raise a virtual child online at a local internet cafe. Aledegedly the infant was only fed once each day and the formula was often spoiled. When the infant, who was only 5 pounds would cry she was beaten.
The sentence should have easily been life in prison for both, but instead only the husband gets 2 years? Something is seriously wrong here.
Sometimes I carry a clipboard. Sometimes, I dress like a lawn guy and carry a rake. I do my best to never, ever look like a criminal.
The two things I hate most: barking dogs and nosy neighbors.
I’ll break a window to get in, even if it makes a little noise. If your neighbor hears one loud sound, he’ll stop what he’s doing and wait to hear it again. If he doesn’t hear it again, he’ll just go back to what he was doing. It’s human nature
I’m not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?
I love looking in your windows. I’m looking for signs that you’re home, and for flat screen TVs or gaming systems I’d like. I’ll drive or walk through your neighborhood at night, before you close the blinds, just to pick my targets.
Avoid announcing your vacation on your Facebook page. It’s easier than you think to look up your address.
To you, leaving that window open just a crack during the day is a way to let in a little fresh air. To me, it’s an invitation.
Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.
Of course I look familiar. I was here just last week cleaning your floors, painting your home or delivering your new appliance.
Do you really think I won’t look in your sock drawer? I always check the dresser drawers, the bedside table, and the medicine cabinet.
Here’s a helpful hint: I almost never go into the kids’ rooms.
You’re right: I won’t have enough time to break into that safe where you keep your valuables. But if it’s not bolted down, I’ll take it with me.
A loud TV or radio can be a better deterrent than the best alarm system. Leave your TV on when you go out.
If it snows while you’re out of town, get a neighbor to create car and foot tracks into your house. Virgin drifts in the driveway are a dead giveaway.
Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up on the driveway. And I might leave a pizza flyer in your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it.
If decorative glass it part of your front entrance, don’t let your alarm company install the control pad where I can see it it’s set. That makes it too easy.
A good security company alarms the window over the sink. And the windows on the second floor, which often access the master bedroom – and your jewelry. It’s not a bad idea to put motion detectors up there too.
It’s raining, you’re fumbling with your umbrella, and you forget to lock your door – understandable. But understand this: I don’t take a day off because of bad weather.
I always knock first. If you answer, I’ll ask for directions somewhere or offer to clean your gutters.
If you don’t answer when I knock, I try the door. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot and walk right in.
The Mace Pepper Spray gun is an excellent non-lethal self defense weapon. Looking for an effective, practical and affordable self defense option? The Pepper Gun by Mace makes a great choice for both men and women of all ages. The ability to stop a potential threat from a distance is a huge benefit. With the Mace Pepper Spray Gun the effective range is up to 25 feet. This is huge, as the greater the distance between you and them the safer and better off you will be. Being able to accurately aim and fire makes all the difference in the world. An effective range of 25 feet means nothing if you can’t hit your target! The pepper gun has a built in aiming device, a trigger activated LED laser light makes hitting your intended target easy. Practice makes perfect and along with the gun you will receive a “practice cartridge” that will help you hone your skills.
The Mace Gun allows you to fire consistently from any angle. Whether it is upside down or right side up, you will get the same consistent ballistic stream spray every time. Using a 1o% pepper formula that is extremely potent at .74 Capsaicinoids offers extra confidence and piece of mind. Mace has been a top self defense manufacturer for decades. Millions of customers trust Mace and its self defense pepper spray formulation.
The Mace Pepper Spray Gun is small, lightweight, easy to conceal and take almost anywhere. With any self defense weapon, it has to be quickly accessible when you need it most. This device will easily fit in your pocket, purse, belt holster or concealed in the hand. Loading and re-loading is easy and quick. Each pepper spray cartridge is 28 grams or approximately one ounce.
This product could easily sell for over $100 but the price point is affordable at less than $70. You get the gun with built in LED light, the required batteries, one practice cartridge, and one live pepper spray cartridge.
Not a day passes without a handful of customers calling or emailing us to ask the million dollar question; “What pepper spray product do you recommend…?” The customer will continue to explain the situation and the immediate reason for needing the pepper spray. On average eight out of every ten customers have their expectations exceeded with the same product. I guess what I’m trying to say is though situations are unique and may require a special pattern or formula; most customers cannot go wrong with our Pepper Shot Pepper Spray Triple Pack.
The Pepper Shot Triple Pack is the best value in the industry for a few reasons, the price is unbeatable, it is extensively tested, and it is made in the USA. You get a three product bundle pack that includes a half ounce quick release keychain pepper spray, another half ounce auto visor spray, and a 2 ounce ballistic stream. Use the keychain spray as your “go everywhere, take it with you” unit. The auto visor model clips on to the sun visor in your car. The 2 ounce is perfect for personal security at home.
Many pepper spray products are not made in the USA, instead they are manufactured overseas and shipped in. Costs associated with foreign made pepper spray are much lower, but the resulting product is also low quality junk. All sprays are not the same, the label may say or claim something that is totally unfounded. Our entire line of self defense pepper spray and Mace are manufactured and tested right here in the USA. The Pepper Shot product is a 10% formula producing true 2 millon scoville heat units. All units have the expiration date stamped on the canister, so you know it is fresh.
Testing ensures consistency in potency, range, self life, and many other factors you just cannot afford to skimp on. In a largely self regulated industry, many unscrupulous manufacturers looking to make a quick buck make claims about their pepper spray products that simply are not true. These companies are here today and gone tomorrow. Pepper Shot on the other hand, has been around for over two decades. Literally millions of consumers trust Pepper Shot for what it consistently brings to the table.
After our homes and offices, many of us spend more time in our vehicles each day than any other place. We commute to and from our place of employment with the average one way commute exceeding an hour. Each day Americans spend between 2 and 5 hours per day in their vehicles. Yet must of us have never considered what would or could happen in a vehicle emergency.
How would you react if you found yourself with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere after dark? Now what if it was your son, daughter, husband or wife? Every few minutes an auto accident occurs in the US; on average over 120 each day. Hopefully, you won’t ever become a statistic, but preparation is key just in case. Many auto accidents result in a seat belt becoming stuck and impossible to unlatch. If you can’t get free then it’s impossible to get yourself to safety. How many bodies of water to you travel across daily? Should an accident occur over a body of water you could easily find yourself trapped inside a sinking vehicle. The water pressure on the doors and windows won’t allow you to push them open.
Now consider a very practical tool, the Automotive Emergency Tool has four critical tools built into one. A dependable flashlight will never leave you in the dark. An emergency strobe light and help you signal for help or alert others of potential danger. The seat belt cutter will set you free should the belt become stuck. The window hammer is made to break glass in emergency situations. This little tool is an absolute must have.
Falling asleep at the wheel is a major problem and results in countless tragedies. We push ourselves to do more and more with less sleep. A simple alarm that attaches to the back of the ear and sounds a loud alert as the head falls forward can prevent dozing off. Its called the Nap Zapper Driving Alarm.
Road rage is a reality in society today and results in dangerous physical altercations. If you’ve ever found yourself in a similar situation you know just how stressful this can be. Be prepared with a premium self defense pepper spray and stop the would be attacker from a distance.
Automotive emergency tools offer peace of mind and real safety in a time of need. One of the best gifts you can get for yourself, a friend or family member is a complete car safety kit. Everything you’ll ever need in one bundle pack from Guardian Self Defense.
The Barking Dog Alarm is practical, affordable and offers reliable round the clock security to homes and small businesses. One of the best crime deterrents available is the presence of a dog, the barking dog alarm capitalizes on this by giving a would be intruder the impression that you own a vicious watchdog.
The alarm will protect a 100 degree triangle shaped area at up to 20 feet away. Once the alarm is armed, it uses radio wave technology to sense movement through bricks, glass, wood or concrete. The closer they get the louder and more vicious the barks become. This works two ways, it acts as an alert system for you and a excellent deterrent against criminals and the crimes they set out to accomplish. Just point the barking dog alarm in the direction that you would like it to protect. It is the best entry way alarm you will find. Use it to secure the main entry way in your home or get one for each area you would like to protect.
Realistic is the only way to describe the barking sounds. You won’t be able to tell the difference between the alarm and a real watchdog. The barking dog alarm is lightweight and only 9 inches tall. It is easy to move from room to room. There is nothing to install, just plug it in, arm it and your done. Just in case the power fails there is a built in battery backup. In addition to the barking dog mode, you can also set the unit to chime or sound an alarm instead. If you are looking for an affordable way to protect your home or small business from crimes such as robbery or invasions consider adding this little barking dog alarm to your security arsenal.
How important is your personal safety on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being “Not Very Important” and 5 being “Extremely Important”. This is the question I posed to a group of college aged kids that I met with today. Guess what, everyone in the room said that their personal well being was “Extremely Important”. I responded, Then why don’t you start acting like it!
The fact is that most of us claim that personal safety, home security and self defense are extremely important, yet we do nothing to help ourselves. If I can convince you to do one thing today, it would be to take a proactive approach to personal safety.
Get yourself a good self defense pepper spray product. Learn how to use it and what to expect when you do. Practice until your comfortable. Carry it with you wherever you go and make sure it is highly accessible. By doing this you just improved your chances of surviving an attack.
I realize that the “perfect self defense product” is not the same for everyone. So what works for me may not be your cup of tea and that’s fine because you will find the product that works best for you. Stun guns have become extremely popular among civilians. Technology enhancements have reduced costs while increasing dependability. The newest stun guns sport very high voltage and low amperage, coming into contact with a stun gun will make an attacker “see stars”.
If your budget allows the C2 Taser is an excellent self defense weapon. Items such as steel batons, kubotans, and personal alarms all make great self defense products. I encourage you to research the products and determine what works best for you. Once you determine the best weapon(s) for you, make a commitment to learn how to use it. That means practicing with whatever product(s) you choose. No matter what, I hope you will take action today.
