A Lancaster man stole thousands of dollars of items from a Providence Township home and left a note apologizing for the burglary, police said.

He took several thousands of dollars of jewelry from a bedroom, some PlayStation 2 video games from the living room, and several gallons of gas from an outside storage tank, Jones alleges.

Before he left the home, Rehm left a handwritten apology note on a dresser, Jones reported.

Rehm fled and has not been apprehended. Burglary and theft by unlawful taking charges are pending against him.

When homeowners have at least $1,000 worth of jewelry, cash in their home, I cannot understand why they don’t protect it with some kind of an alarm or security system. The Barking Dog Alarm is an effective tool to protect your property from burglary because the barking dog sound that it makes when an intruder enters the protected area is enough to scare most burglars away.
