Top Three Motion Alarms – Home Security

If you are one of the over 78 million people who own their own homes with an untold number of millions who live in an apartment complex, you must at some level be concerned about your home security. And here is why!

Home burglary and home invasion are two of the fastest-growing crimes in the country.

As we have noted before, part of the reason for this phenomenon is because homeowners make it so darn easy to get into their homes. If by any chance the bad guys do get caught, the resultant penalties are almost laughable.

In this article we will discuss the top three motion activated alarms that we carry. Motion alarms are generally considered to be the best and most effective home security products because of their reliability and dependability.

There is an alarm that automatically activates a 105 dB Siren and an auto dialer that dials up to five emergency numbers when motion is detected. It can protect an area up to 26 feet away and 110 degrees horizontal and 40 degrees vertical. It uses regular AC power but has a 9 volt battery backup in case of emergencies. It is 6 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and 1.5 inches thick and comes with everything you need to mount it on a wall. You can program your unique security code and customize the entry delay timing feature that has the panic key and built-in flash memory to store data when there’s a power failure.

The Mace uses a 105 dB alarm that sounds when the protected area is violated. When the system is activated as many as five preprogrammed telephone numbers are dialed in order. The system comes with the main unit that can handle up to 14 additional accessories for expansion. The main wireless motion detection sensor works up to 26 feet away. The wireless door/window sensor works up to 300 feet away. Once the system is activated a prerecorded message plays, then that person has the option to listen in on a room, broadcast their voice through the control unit, or disarm the system. The system also has a remote control allowing you to arm or disarm the unit from a distance.

And the most famous motion activated alarm is the barking dog alarm or as some people call it, the Electronic Watchdog. It protects an area up to 20 feet away and can “see” through walls, windows, doors. When someone enters the protected area the sound of an angry barking dog starts. It also has a remote control that allows you to arm or disarm the system from a distance.
