Sabre Pepper Spray-The New Police Standard In New Zealand

"New Zealand Police look set to buy thousands of canisters of a potent new pepper spray that is more than six times stronger than the one currently used. Sabre Red from America looks just like the old spray on the police tool belt, but is more likely to stop offenders in their tracks. "Our current spray, which we've been using for over ten years now, we've seen a leveling off in its effectiveness," said Inspector Jason Ross. A trial of the new spray has just wrapped up in the Bay of Plenty. It has been used to douse almost one person each day over the past six months. "It's been used about 150 times throughout the trial and feedback - anecdotal feedback - so far is very positive," Mr Ross said." Read the whole story HERE "Around 9,000 canisters of pepper spray are currently in circulation nationwide with police, but it is one of the lowest strengths available. The spray currently used is just 10 times stronger than the Tabasco sauce you can get at the supermarket, compared to the new one, which is more than 60 times stronger. The sting after being hit with the new spray lasts much longer, and it leaves a red mark on its target, which can be washed off. Police Association president Greg O'Connor said the roll-out of the new spray is just New Zealand catching up. "There is now a better product, and it means police don't need to go further up the tactical framework, which means tasers and ultimately firearms," he said. Until the data from the trial is analyzed police cannot say if anyone was injured, but overall the new spray appears a lot more effective. Police are also trying out a gel, which is more effective than a spray in bad weather." Now you can get the same Sabre Crossfire Spray that the New Zealand Police Department will be using. Sabre Red, in the United States, is one of the most popular self-defense products that women use for their personal safety and personal security.
