I purchased this baton to carry on my belt when walking my dog! We go before the sun comes up, and living in the desert we have a lot of wildlife! I use it to protect us against an attack. I also carry it because my last dog was attacked by "Dogs off Leash" on 5 different occasions. He was a Rottweiler so he could handle himself, but I wasn't going to make him have to endure those attacks. Dog fights are UGLY!
I highly recommend this tool! I have another friend we walk our dogs with who also purchased one for the same reason.
