Pepper spray products are legal in every U.S. state, however, there are specific restrictions imposed by a few states that prohibit online purchases.

ALASKA: Legal with restrictions. Must be at least 18 years of age to purchase. To possess in a school must be at least 21 years old or obtain special permission. See Sections 11.81.900(a), 11.61.210(a)(6) 

ARIZONA: Legal. Does not appear to have a statute specific to the use of pepper spray or mace for self defense

ARKANSAS: Legal with restrictions. Pepper spray or mace for self-defense appears to be legal, as long as, the canister size is no larger than 150 cc or 5.07 ounces. . See Section 5-73-124.

CALIFORNIA: Legal with restrictions. Pepper spray or mace for self-defense appears to be legal, as long as, the canister size is no larger than 2.5 ounces. Sales to minors are prohibited. See Section 12403.7.

COLORADO: Legal. 

CONNECTICUT: Legal.

DELAWARE: Legal with restrictions. Pepper spray or mace for self-defense appears to be legal as long as you are not a minor. See Title 11, Section 222(7).

  • Effects: For 1/2 second, it will startle assailants, giving some pain, muscular contraction, and shock. For 1-2 seconds, it will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. For 3-5 seconds, it will cause loss of balance and muscle control total mental confusion, and disorientation.
  • Safety: Stun devices are totally non-lethal. Stun guns are proven safe and will not cause permanent damage. Under no conditions can you suffer a charge-back to your own body, so you can feel safe to use even if the assailant is holding you.
  • Batteries: Uses three 3-volt lithium batteries which are included. To install batteries, open the battery door located on the side of the unit. Insert batteries in the battery terminals. Close battery door cover. Replacement batteries can be ordered online through us or purchased locally at most retail chain stores.
  • Warranty: Stun Master Stun Guns are guaranteed to be free from defective materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original purchase. Do not discharge the unit into the air (test fire) for more than one second at a time as repeat firing for longer durations can damage the unit and void the warranty.

It came relatively quick and I was very pleased with it. Injoying a tryout on a person who excepted the test. Put him down relatively quick and yes he's fine! The only reason why I did not give this a five is was because just a day of wearing this for added protection the gun lost one of the metal parts that give the discharge and I believe with a little JB Weld I will be very pleased with this gun. So yes it's a keeper just needs a little bit of added glue and all is good. Stay safe.
