The Effectiveness of Stun Guns on Aggressive Animals

At least once a day, but usually more often we receive calls from customers looking for solutions to protect themselves, their children, and family from aggressive animals. Ninety percent of the aggressive animals are dogs. Usually mom or dad calls wanting protection while they walk, jog, or ride bikes around the block. Our recommendation is a stun gun or stun baton. These are extremely effective at stopping canine aggression; they also make great personal protection weapons. A stun device works using a high voltage, low amperage shock. Stun Guns and batons are designed to key on the central nervous system. They dump energy into the muscles causing the muscles work very rapidly, but not efficiently. This rapid work cycle depletes blood sugar by converting it to lactic acid all in just seconds. The resulting energy loss makes it difficult to move and function. At the same time, the tiny neurological impulses that travel throughout the body to direct muscle movement are interrupted. This causes disorientation and loss of balance and leaves the attacker in a passive and confused condition for several minutes. Still, there is no significant effect on the heart and other organs. As a general rule, a one-half second contact from a stun gun or baton will repel and startle an attacker (man or beast), giving some pain and muscle contraction. One to two seconds will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. Over three seconds will cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation. Don't pay too much attention to the estimated contact times. When you use a stun device, touch it to the attacker until they either drop or retreat. This may take 1/2 second or it could take 5 seconds. The point is be prepared to use it and you should feel confident that it will work and achieve the desired effects (IT WILL!). We carry a large selection of top quality stun batons and stun guns at the lowest prices. We welcome your feedback stunning devices.
